Two Factor Auth

Two-Factor Authentication (a.k.a. 2fa, multi-factor auth, mfa, and one-time passwords) is available for all users.

To enable two-factor authentication, visit the dashboard while signed into your account and scroll down to the “Update Password” section. There you’ll find a link to the “Configure Two Factor Authentication” page.

Enabling Two Factor Authentication

When you start the process to enable 2fa, you will be required to verify that you have correctly added the TOTP secret to your authenticator application. Providing a correct challenge code will take you to the confirmation page that lists backup codes for you to use in place of a one-time password.

Important! There is no alternative provided to sign into your account. If you loose access to both the TOTP secret and your backup codes, your account will not be accessible. It is critical that you securely store the backup codes.

  1. While signed into your account, visit the dashboard and follow the link to the “Configure Two Factor Authentication” page.
  2. Click the enable button
  3. Scan the QR code in your authenticator application and enter the resulting one-time password into the form.
  4. Copy the backup codes in the confirmation page and securely store them for later use.

Removing Two Factor Authentication

  1. While signed into your account, visit the dashboard and follow the link to the “Configure Two Factor Authentication” page.
  2. Click the remove button
  3. Enter the one-time password or a backup code
